Our program helps with basic conversational skills including making eye contact, taking turns, and following directions, but it also takes into account more detailed skills such as recognizing verbal and nonverbal social cues, predicting social responses, and initiating and maintaining conversation topics. These goals are achieved through art and play.
Along with acquiring these pragmatic skills in a group setting, Little P.I.C.A.S.S.Os also aims to assist parents with carrying over skills learned in the group so their children will increase their self confidence and self-esteem in more social and community related activities.
Little P.I.C.A.S.S.Os (Providing Interpersonal Communication And Successful Speech Outcomes) aims to develop and improve social language skills and positive social interactions with peers.
